Sanitation Coordinator - Weekend Shift (6:00am to 2:00pm)

Position Summary:

To make a positive contribution, enabling Griffith Foods Canada to continue to grow and operate in an effective, efficient, and profitable manner. Responsible for the overall weekend deep cleaning of specific areas of the Griffith Foods facility as documented in the Master Sanitation Schedule work instructions and Fix work orders.

Major Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to the Sanitation Manager of Griffith Foods Canada on an ongoing basis and communicates all relevant matters pertaining to Sanitation.
• Follows all the Health & Safety policies and procedures and reports all safety hazards to the Sanitation Manager.
• Performs assignments in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and Fix work orders.
• Performs cleaning of all areas of the facility including equipment: Pressure Washing, Power Scrubbing, Sweeping, Dusting and Mopping and using chemicals.
• Co-ordinates with weekend part-time Custodians for staffing and cleaning tools as per 21-day cleaning requirements.
• Works with Sanitation Manager for Warehouse structural cleaning and Storage racks as per MSS and Fix work orders.
• Works closely with Sanitation Planner and fulltime custodians on the weekend to accomplish weekend structural cleaning tasks.
• Performs snow removal duties during winter months and Landscaping duties during spring/ summer as needed during the weekend.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Sanitation Manager.
• Verifies all the cleaning completed during the weekend and closes Fix work orders.
• Understands and follows all security policies.

What Will You Bring?

  ·       High school diploma required.

•   Minimum of 3 years of work-related experience in Sanitation required.
•   Confined space experience and training is considered an asset.

  ·       Knowledge of basic mathematical foundations required.

  ·       Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset. 

  ·     Team player with a keen desire to meet deadlines, strong decision maker with excellent communication skills.

  ·       Microsoft DAX or other ERP knowledge an asset.
