Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products.  We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world.  Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Position Title:             Purchasing & Sustainable Sourcing Analyst

 

Hiring Manager:         Senior Manager, Global Purchasing

 

Location:                    Open to candidates located in the following: US; Canada; Mexico; Medellin, Columbia; Jundiai, Brazil; San Jose, Costa Rica

 

Summary:

The position will serve as an analyst within the Global purchasing department, responsible for implementing initiatives that align with the global sourcing strategies. This role plays a crucial part in advancing and enhancing Griffith Foods’ sustainability platform by offering analysis-driven insights and recommendations for sustainability projects and initiatives aimed at achieving the 2030 Aspirations.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Research, collect and interpret relevant information related to purchasing and sustainable sourcing
  • Transform information into useful resources to keep the company up to date
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure inclusion and alignment on global purchasing initiatives.
  • Support the Sustainable Sourcing activities related to sustainability risk management, suppliers’ assessments, alignment on standards and certifications.
  • Develop suppliers and/or programs that will further enhance the Griffith Sustainable Sourcing platform.
  • Operate the Supplier Sustainability program including reporting on current progress and refining the programs.
  • Develop tools for the improvement of tracking, managing, and execution of global/regional purchasing and sustainable sourcing global practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement and compliance with the systems used in purchasing.
  • Prepare and execute global sourcing events in conjunction with Global and Local purchasing team as part of Griffith Foods'  eSourcing platform.
  • Deliver structured, concise and meaningful reports, summarizing results, making recommendations and justifying conclusions, containing technical information.
  • Contribute to internal and external communication on purchasing and sustainable sourcing information reports, including training programs, purchasing scorecards, sustainability report, among others.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3-4 years in Data analytics, Purchasing/Sourcing or project management.
  • Expert Proficient in MS Office skills; such as Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, others.
  • Proficient in database management and analysis.
  • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and purchasing practices.
  • Experience in the Food Industry preferred.
  • Demonstrate level of financial acumen.
  • Ability to work remotely and be effective in change management.
  • Ability to work across regions and functions to influence from the top to the bottom of an organization.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to use technology effectively.
  • Ability to apply and/or learn analytical tools / techniques to produce high quality analytical reports and provide useful insights.
  • English is pre-requisite, additional languages a benefit.
