Discrete maths guru who can analyse maths sheets for newly developed games prior to release. It’s not just about making sure the pay back to players is the right value, there’s a real art in getting it just right in terms of volatility, hit frequency, average pay backs etc. we are seeking an individual who can analyse the data at their disposal. You’ll be expected to regurgitate your maths knowledge to business people so they can understand your findings and logic. Excel and Groovy is your tool although we have something else that can assist you. We have a great team who’ll work around you and this is a great opportunity to learn some code as well.
Job Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
  1. Maths verification by various methods:
  • Calculating basic games & bonus feature RTPs using combinatorics & probability theory
  • Running the Reels Tool
  • Verifying the configuration of games and algorithm in the code v PAR sheet
  • Ensure bonus features etc behave as they are described in the maths (as well as verified from code review)
  • Manually calculating statistics from simulations and producing the confidence intervals
  • Producing mathematical treatise based on the results of maths verification work
  • Updating the contents of the SI workbook according to the maths verification work and results
  1. Perform initial assessments and risk assess game features.
  2. Perform analysis and create report components for games and RNGs.
  3. Investigation into mathematical abnormalities discovered in customer submissions to provide an understanding of the cause/effect.
  4. Analysis of empirical tests against the aims and objectives of the test process to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the test process.
  5. Turning mathematical principles into algorithmic code.
  6. Interact with the development team to suggest new tools or improvements to current tools.
  7. Evaluating source code arrays and configurations to confirm the maths of the game has been correctly implemented.
  8. Regularly updating in-house project management tools (JIRA and game maths database) with results.
  9. Crunching the numbers to the nth degree and spotting areas of opportunity
  10. High quality written output.
  11. Good communication skills. 
Other duties
  • Write simple simulators for bonus features/ games (supervised)
  • Running 3rd party library tools (e.g. NIST) on generated RNG output
  • Analysing Randomness tests
  • Work with the code review team to ensure alignment and understanding of games
