Job Overview: A hands-on role in the IT Department focused on driving IT alignment. Plans and coordinates technical solutions based on short-term and long-term needs. Will provide direction to the various project teams including responsibility for managing various project milestones, budgetary targets and end user expectations in the Stowe, Ohio office.  Will include implementing Scrum with the Stowe development team.
A Day in the Life:
  • You will lead technology projects with both dedicated and shared resources. 
  • You will work with the team to ensure understanding of business and technical requirements. 
  • You will demonstrate proficiency in project management practices to build and manage team(s) that design and deliver highly scalable, extensible and reliable frameworks and services.  
  • You will work with IT management to monitor any metrics used by the infrastructure organization.  
  • You will aid the documentation of technology strategy, business goals and roadmap execution.
  • You will make sure that day-to-day operations are minimally impacted. 
  • You will notify surface issues to IT management.
  • You will review IT processes to ensure efficiency, documentation, and to ensure that output meets the needs of the business. 
  • You will work with the business to communicate the impact of proposed changes.
  • You will appreciate and advocate for information security and secure practices. 
  • You will support IT merger and acquisition integration efforts. 
  • You will liaise with the Security Manager to ensure proper implementation of security requirements.
  • You will work directly with the Stowe IT group to organize best practices using a Scrum framework. 
  • You will encourage teamwork within the team.
  • You will remove impediments for the team as they occur.
  • You will assist business teams with understanding the existing system capabilities, and capabilities being delivered in a project as and when possible. 
Our Ideal Candidate: 
  • Has 5+ years of project management experience, including working in a matrix environment.
  • Has 3+ years of experience in managing IT projects.
  • Has proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Has experience understanding complex technical issues.
  • Has a basic understanding of network management.
  • Has a basic understanding of IT security principles.
  • Has experience running a Scrum team.
  • Has an understanding of Agile vs Waterfall project techniques.
  • Has experience translating between business and technical teams.
  • Has strong organizational skills.
  • Has the ability to interact with both business/operations and IT teams.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree (Required).
  • Has CAPM or the equivalent certification (Required).
  • Is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (Required).
  • Has a Master’s Degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration or a related discipline (Preferred).
  • Has a PMP certification (Preferred).
