Position Overview: Assist the Service Center Manager in providing supervision and services over Center and on-site collection activities that include but are not limited to, drug and alcohol testing, pulmonary function testing, respiratory fit testing, audiometric hearing exams, hair collections and blood drawing. 
A Day in the Life:
  • You will ensure all drug screen collections and breath alcohol testing are conducted using Intoximeters Alco-Sensor IV/RBT IV testing machines in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40 and DOT Specimen Collections Guidelines/DOT Alcohol Testing Guidelines.
  • You will ensure all pulmonary function testing are conducted using the Puritan Bennett Renaissance II Spirometer System/USB-Spiro System and all Respiratory Fit Testing is conducted using the TSI Portacount follow all OSHA Guidelines.  
  • You will perform hair collections following Psychemedics guidelines.
  • You will collect donor’s drug and blood results, faxes or emails results to clients as required.
  • You will collect emails and faxes for scheduled visits for DISA, CPS 2054, and clients.
  • You will manage inventory of on-site team operational supplies which include but are not limited to specimen cups, hair kits, custody and control forms(CCFs), alcohol mouth pieces and spirometer mouth pieces in a timely manner.
  • You will scans MRO copies and email to MRO via DISA email.
  • You will performs biological checks for all audiometers, daily checks on all Portacounts and each spirometer and monthly calibration checks on each alcohol machine and submits results to the multi-site Service Center Manager.
  • You will inform the Multi-site Service Center Manager and Sr. Director of Occupational Medical on all unusual circumstances surrounding all tests performed.
  • You will ensure that paperwork is entered correctly into DISAWorks®.
  • You will resolve donor concerns and handles client complaints in a professional manner.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Has supervised on-site Collection Specialists and Medical Assistants in the absence of the Service Center Manager. 
  • Has worked On-Call rotation. 
  • Has a High School diploma and one (1) year experience in drug testing, breath alcohol testing, pulmonary function testing or fit testing applications.
  • Has a Medical Assistant certificate, Nurse Assistant certificate, Medical Technician certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Has intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Has DOT Certified Urine Specimen Collector or must obtain certification within two (2) weeks from date of hire.
  • Has DOT EBT (Evidential Breath Testing) Certified or must obtain certification within two (2) weeks from date of hire.
  • Has Hair Collection Training Certificate or must obtain within thirty (30) days from date of hire.
  • Has years experience in drug testing, breath alcohol testing, pulmonary function testing or fit testing applications (perferred).
  • Is bilingual (English and Spanish perferred).
