Job Overview:  As the Interstate Licencing Manager, you will provide supervision over a team providing a variety of commercial vehicle registration services that include, but are not limited to commercial registration (IRP), Renewals, Title transfers (ownership transfer, duplicate, lost, bonded, out of state titles), VIN verification, commercial permits, fuel and mileage tax (IFTA, Diesel, New Mexico Tax Permit, New York HUT, Kentucky KYU, Oregon Tax Permit, Quarterly Fuel and Mileage reporting).
A Day in the Life:
  • You will provide excellent and prompt customer service daily by assisting clients with various requests and inquiries. 
  • You will process documents and applications accurately and timely, ensuring minimal errors.
  • You will process client applications, maintain processing logs, coordinate with DMV, be a backup DMV field office processor, prepare documents for submission, determine fee requirements, and invoice clients for services. 
  • You will handle the on-boarding process of new clients.
  • You will contact clients to obtain complete and necessary vehicle information.
  • You will secure state mileage, over-dimensional, and over-weight permits.
  • You will coordinate international Registration Plan supplements including additions, deletions, transfers, replacement plates, duplicate cab cards and weight group changes.
  • You will ensure registration records are in order at all times so that clients may receive real-time reporting of current and upcoming permit/ license applications. 
  • You will supervise team members in daily work routines.
  • You will lead the team to consistent and high-performance standards through the use of coaching, training/talent development, performance management, process management, customer relations, efficiencies, reporting, etc.
  • You will promote company standards and high work ethics. Responsible for the safety and security of team members in the workplace and enforcement of system security protocols.
  • You will track and regularly analyze data and report on overall department performance metrics; identify gaps in efficiency, productivity and implement changes to improve overall operational effectiveness and reduce errors.
  • You will purge outdated files of monthly logs or former clients.
  • You will respond to client emails and telephone calls related to any and all issues that arise.
  • You will explain fees and applicable charges for services and resolve client complaints in a professional manner.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Has knowledge of IRP routines and processes.
  • Has experience handling DMV Title transfers and commercial permits through the BPA system.
  • Has excellent customer service skills.
  • Has great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is detail oriented and has the ability to multi-task, working with a variety of client files with accuracy.
  • Has prior experience working with commercial transportation licensing and/or registration industry.
  • Has a High School diploma.
  • Has supervisory experience.
  • Is familiar with DMV desk routines and CDK DMS systems.
  • Has an understanding of legal requirements to operate commercial vehicles across various states.
