Account Executive

Department: Coffee Service Division

Reports to: Account Executive Manager

 

 


Summary

Solicits new customers in order to aid achievement of company goals using a variety of methods to secure new Office Coffee Service, Food Service, and Convenience Store accounts within an established territory by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions Only:

·         Develops prospect list from business directories, trade associations and all other available sources.  Methods of prospecting will include cold-calling, phone solicitation, and appointment setting.

·         Drives company or personal vehicle between company and customer or potential customer locations to perform job duties.

·         Presents company offerings through product demonstrations and sales proposals including price quotes.

·         Coordinates customer setup and transition to regular route service based on knowledge of the company’s production and delivery schedules.

·         Prepares and complies with mandatory reporting systems.

·         Participates in trade shows and special events to promote the company's products and services.

·         Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition and the market in general.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities

 


Qualifications

Description

Education and Experience

·         High School Diploma OR General Education degree (GED) AND at least 2 years of outside sales and cold calling experience; OR Bachelors Degree, preferably in Sales or Marketing

·         Valid driver’s license required and acceptable driving record.

·         Strong communication and organizational skills.

·         Ability to prepare documents and reports with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Travel Time

Daily travel required for sales calls and related activities.  Limited or occasional overnight travel.

Field Sales Environment- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
