Regional Account Executive


Department: Coffee Service Division- National Accounts

Reports to: Varies, CSD and National Accounts Sr. Management


Identifies and solicits new customers in order to achieve strategic sales goals within Office Coffee Service, Food Service Contract Managed Services, Hospitality/Travel/Military and Convenience Store channels.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions Only:

·         Prospects, cold calls, and makes formal presentations of company pricing, products and promotions to major office, coffee and food service customers to gain or expand new business

·         Executes sales strategies in order to meet or exceed company’s sales goals, achieve KPIs as outlined in performance scorecards.

·         Will target strategic “licensed to hunt” accounts for new business or to expand existing business

·         Responsible for achieving a high level sales target with Regional Chain Business customers

·         Coordinates customer setup and transition to account managers.

·         Prepares and complies with mandatory reporting systems.

·         Participates in trade shows and special events to promote the company's products and services.

·         Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition and the market in general.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities




Education and Experience

·         High School Diploma OR General Education degree (GED) required

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         At least 4 years of successful CPG sales experience required, preferably in coffee service or foodservice, and specifically with regional or large revenue accounts.

·         Valid driver’s license required and acceptable driving record.

·         Strong communication and organizational skills.

·         Ability to prepare documents and reports with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

·         Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

Travel Time

Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Field Sales Environment- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
